Beef Stroganoff
This is one of my favorite recipes and I like to eat it served over rice instead of the usual egg noodles, but you can serve it on noodles or toast too.
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb sliced mushrooms
- 2 TBSP flour
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- In large frying pan, Saute onions and garlic in butter until soft.
- Add beef, mushrooms, flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Cook until beef turns brown.
- Add cream of chicken soup and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in sour cream, and mix well.
- Serve over rice, egg noodles, or toast.
