ingredients:

12 to 15 frozen chicken wings
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup water
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 TBSP ketchup
¼ cup sherry OR apple juice
½ to ¾ tsp crushed red pepper
(to taste)
1 green onion, sliced
2 TBSP cornstarch
1 TBSP cold water

My Grandpa made these wings for us when he came to visit one year. Everyone loved them, and so my Mom asked for the recipe. He said, "I'll show you." So, a few days later, my Grandpa called my Mom into the kitchen and asked her to watch him make the wings that she liked so much. Then, the next night, my Grandpa said, "Now it's your turn to make them, and I'll watch." Fortunately, my Mom took good notes the night before. You'll be glad that she did, I know I am!

Combine all ingredients and simmer until chicken is done.

Remove chicken and onion to serving dish.

Skim fat off of remaining liquid and add a mixture of 2 TBSP cornstarch dissolved in 1 TBSP cold water while stirring.

Stir constantly until thickened.

Pour over chicken and serve.
