ingredients:

¾ lb ground beef
¼ lb ground pork
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
1 cup fine dry breadcrumbs
¼ cup onion, chopped
¼ tsp allspice
salt and pepper to taste
2½ quarts beef stock
1 bag of egg noodles


I'm not sure where this recipe came from, but I like the name of it. I also thought that it was an interesting way of making meatballs. I'd only heard of meatball sandwiches or spaghetti and meatballs before I came across this recipe.

Combine all ingredients together EXCEPT for the beef stock and egg noodles. Mix well, and let stand in refrigerator for 2 hours or over night to blend flavors.

Form meat mixture into 1-inch balls.

Boil beef stock. Drop in meatballs and egg noodles.

Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until both meatballs and noodles are done.
