ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
4 TBSP butter
1 cup buttermilk

Light fluffy buttermilk biscuits are great for breakfast, or as a substitute for dinner rolls; and if you have any left over, they make a great snack or dessert with some honey or jam spread on them. |

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Combine flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda together in medium bowl and mix well.

Cut butter into flour mixture.
|
 |
Add milk and stir to make a soft dough.
|
 |
Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead lightly for 1 minute.
|
 |
Roll dough out to ½ inch thick.
|
 |
Cut out biscuits and bake on a cookie sheet for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
