Buttermilk Biscuits

Light fluffy buttermilk biscuits are great for breakfast, or as a substitute for dinner rolls; and if you have any left over, they make a great snack or dessert with some honey or jam spread on them.

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda together in medium bowl and mix well.
  3. Cut butter into flour mixture.
  4. Add milk and stir to make a soft dough.
  5. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead lightly for 1 minute.
  6. Roll dough out to 1/2inch thick.
  7. Cut out biscuits and bake on a cookie sheet for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
