Vegan Carob Cake
I love baking cakes for people, but I enjoy eating them as well. So, what do you make for a vegan who likes chocolate cake when you avoid caffeine and want some too? Vegan Carob Cake!
- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup carob powder
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups water
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 TBSP vinegar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- powdered sugar
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Spray two 9 inch round cake pans with cooking spray.
- In large bowl, stir together dry ingredients. Add everything else, and mix until smooth.
- Pour batter into pans and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool on a wire rack, then dust with powdered sugar.
